Amal by Rene of Paris, from a thrilled customer!

Amal is one of my (Heather) personal inexpensive favorites. I own this wig in a half dozen colors and wear different ones to coordinate with my outfits! So, needless to say, I was super thrilled to see this awesome email (un-edited, below) from a client in Texas who was equally thrilled with this cute little classy cut:

I just received my Amal hair.  OMG, I love it!!!!  I am so happy I found you and your shop... without those video reviews, I was truly lost.  I mean I even bought from PY in the past.  So, you know how inexperienced and desperate I was.  LOL!  I can't wait till hubby comes home and sees this wig.  He is going to love it, because even though I love Brittany (ROP) and wear her all the time in two different, but similar colors, he likes short hair better.  And especially bobs!   This one came out of the box looking like the fluffy version on the model.  I truly, truly love it and the color Banana split, LR, is totally amazing.  It works on this natural redhead something fierce.  I will be trying that Mochaccino LR one you wear in the video, too.  Soon... very soon.  So perfect for springtime, which is just a dream at the moment, even down here in Texas.  So freakin' cute... this hair reminds me of Drew Barrymore, which you look like in your video.  :o)  I just can't believe how perfect the wig is, how gorgeous the color is... AND how comfortable the fit is, because like you, I've got a large head.  I'm the girl who could never wear a cute hat (and I had so many darling vintage ones I sold over the years) because they just didn't fit.  Anyway, everything is great here as I've just caught my little ray of sunshine, and I thank you, thank you, thank you for it.

I knew I'd come to the right place when watching your videos and you said "Hey there, wig lover!"  haha!  You had MY number!

Lots of love from down Texas way.

I love getting emails like this! Obviously it's pretty sweet to see that I've helped make someone so happy. It's even better when I know they didn't have to break the bank to achieve such happy results! There's a really great lesson for all wig newbs in there: sometimes the best hair for your needs CAN be affordable, easy to wear, and cute! :)

How do you tell a potential partner that you wear wigs? Part One

A personal question for you. How do you bring up to a new person you’re interested in that you wear wigs? I’m sure it’s easier for you because it’s your livelihood, but I’ve heard some horror stories about people freaking out when you tell them. I’m just worried when I meet someone I really dig that it’ll be hard to tell them. Anyway, sorry for all the angst, just wanting some advice. Have a great day!

Hormones are freaking weird.
Hormones are freaking weird.

And, might I add, hormones are also a huge pain in the you-know-what!

I was out of my prescriptions for spironolactone - a.k.a. aldactone - and metformin and lazy about refilling them for about a week.

Both of these pills are commonly prescribed to ladies with PCOS. The metformin controls two things: the amount of glucose created in the liver that is pumped into the blood stream and the sensitivity of body tissues to that glucose. Aldactone is a water pill that helps with bloat, but is also a testosterone antagonist, meaning that it minimizes the impact of androgens in women with PCOS related acne and hair loss.
