Carlotta SF by CysterWigs in Vanilla Root by Kathleen

Hi folks Kathleen here with my review of Carlotta SF in the very realistic color Vanilla Root. Do I like this one? Is she worth the money? YES! 😜 I’ve had two other Carlotta SF wigs and they are all different and I love them all. I knew I wanted a darker blonde and picked out Vanilla Root after watching Heather's color review. Image 3 is Carlotta SF right out of the box. Beautiful soft casual waves. Overall a medium honey blonde mix with a soft medium brown root that just melts into the body of the wig. The knotting is so tiny and beautifully spaced on the very fine lace front and mono part. Carlotta SF has a very natural looking hairline. Image 6 really captures this beautiful color. Warm but not brassy in the least. Vanilla Root is a balanced neutral color. For me, this color falls into the newly coined “Bronde” category. Look at all the dimensions is this color. Lately, I’ve been getting into these very subtle natural bronde colors. This one is my favorite. Carlotta has a fair amount of permatease, natural to light hair density with very fine hair denier. This allows me to style her to look very airy and light. Absolutely no hairspray or product is needed because the permatease lets me place a strand of hair where I want it and it stays. The wave pattern is so pretty and loose. I soon realized the balance of permatease and hair density was perfect for this wig. The hair fibers are very fine. When I first received her she had that new very silky feel to her. Not overly shiny but by just playing with her (with the warmth of my hands) that factory coating wears off a bit and she feels dryer with less shine and looks more realistic. After each wear, I spray some Simply Stylin Silicone on my hands and coat the outer layers of Carlotta. Then I take some Jon Renau detangler and spray the ends and comb through with my fingers or a wide-tooth comb. I have been wearing her a lot and she is holding up great. I will say that even with Carlotta SF’s natural/low density you don't see any wefts because of the strategically placed permatease. Soft felt ear tabs and a felt nape round off the quality and comfy features of this cap. The curl/ wave pattern relaxes with wear. I assume when I wash her all I would need to do is scrunch her up (when still wet) to revitalize the curl. The cap fits so well also on top of looking so realistic. Images 13-15 illustrate Carlotta from all sides. These photos were taken right out of the box. I hadn't styled her at all. 😉 The length is just perfect for me. The front barely skims my shoulders and she’s a little shorter in the back. Carlotta SF is very light and comfy and cool for the summer days ahead. The take away here is if you want a very realistic short/mid-length wavy style with top of the line quality and a beautiful lace front and mono part that is available in beautiful realistic colors than I highly recommend Carlotta SF. I have been wearing her daily and I love her.....♥️

Hello, I'm Kenny. I am so excited! This is my first time EVER into writing a blog. I knew very little about the wig world and never wore one before. Here's a little background about me and how I got into this wig-venture.

Due to my husband's health issues, last year, I had to retire from my job to care for him. During this time, I also started to become ill. Within a three month period, I had unexplained vomiting and stomach problems. My symptoms quickly worsened. I had been in and out of the Hospital's Emergency Room for a series of abdominal, esophogeal tests and CT scans. Since there were no signs of infection or fever, I was released and given antibiotics and pain medication. By my sixth E.R. visit (uncontrollable vomiting, an distended abdomen), another x-ray was performed. The doctor obtained another opinion from the hospital's general surgeon. He noticed a blockage and I was quickly rushed into the Operating Room. 12" of colon and a cancerous tumor (Stage 2) were removed. As preventative treatment, I was given a series of chemo pills. But after a few months the negative side effects became so severe that the Oncologist had to stop treatment. There were so many changes in my appearance, my self esteem was going down the tank.

Yep, you heard it. To some, it might seem like wig wearing, but to me it’s deciding how I want to feel and come across to other people that day. That is seriously how I decide which wig I will wear for the day (or hey…for even just that next part of the day…..because I change my wigs more than once a day sometimes!)

I think you might be okay.  The True2Life #30 (the darker color in the Rusty Auburn) is kind of like a reddish brown blended up with a medium auburn, so it isn’t a straight #30.  It’s a little more dynamic than that.  I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a brunette shade, but it definitely has some brunette elements in the mix, kind of like the hint of auburn brown hiding in the #29 in that’s in the Golden Russet.  It’s subtle, but it’s in there.  :)
