Hey, y'all! This is Gina and today I get to show you Mena by Jon Renau in the color Shaded Peach (30A27S4).

One of the big things I absolutely love about Jon Renau is that they take a lot of time to provide great learning tools to care for their products. (They have excellent resources on their YouTube channel and on their Facebook page.) Learning how to take care of the Heat Defiant fibers is especially important because they require a lot of TLC. But this trade-off allows you can heat-style these fibers and they are not as shiny as regular synthetics.

Just noting: This Mena came bobby-pinned to the protective casing. There was a hairnet but it seemed to have slipped off during shipping...it happens.

Mena has a lace front, monofilament top, open sides and back. The lace front is extended and the ear tabs bendable. You can tighten or loosen the cap with the velcro adjusters.

There's permatease at the wefts to achieve the lift for the style.

Mena is gorgeously styled into a pretty dramatic angled cut. My mena came with box hair which is an easy fix after a quick wash or water soak. Then all you have to do is style her in the position she's supposed to be in and voila.

You can see the dramatic cut better here with the short nape and much longer front.

Mena fits great on me! As always, I prefer wearing my wigs with a wig grip and right now I'm using a fishnet wig liner to contain my bio hair. Trying to tuck in my bio hair, especially at the nape, was super important though. Mena has 1.5" nape so long bio nape hairs need to be concealed or trimmed.

Standard bio hair coverage. Please expect some bio hair to show.

Mena in Shaded Peach is perfect for me for summer. She gets the hair off my nape and the color really lightens and brightens me up. :) LOVE HER!

Thanks for showcasing this wig in the outdoor light. It seems I can get a better sense of the color and the highlighting that way. Looks great on you!

First - the wig. In my opinion, this is one of the best short wigs Raquel Welch has released. The cap construction is lace front and mono crown (my favorite) with that amazing Memory 3 open cap. If you haven't tried it, the cap is silicone coated so for those of you with little or no hair, it's going to sit nice and secure on your scalp.

The density is perfect. When I first saw the photos, I thought maybe it was an updated version of Cinch. Not so - they are very different! I found Cinch to be a bit on the thin side. Go For It is just right - no unwanted wefts showing through and a very natural feel to the fibers. The pictures are right out of the box and it was very easy to manipulate into different looks. The lace front is just outstanding. Sometimes in rooted colors you can get that dark, straight line appearance at the forehead which, to me, is a dead wig giveaway. These two Shadow Shades are very natural looking.

When I first received her, I was honestly quite surprised with the amount of permatease. But ladies, Top Wave will give you the soft waves and volume that's so on trend.
