Siobahn's Review: Go for It by Raquel Welch in Glazed Cinnamon

I've been wearing Go for It by Raquel Welch as my everyday hair for about four months. This is definitely my go-to style. I love the versatility of this pixie! The lace front is very nicely done, so sometimes I like to sweep the hair back off of my face which gives it a more casual look. It does also have a monofilament crown but I don't necessarily feel like it needs it. The color is gorgeous. I went with R3025S+, or Glazed Cinnamon. It matches my bio hair almost perfectly. Here's a close-up of the color in some indoor lighting.

I ended up parting this one on the left - all my life I've parted my hair on the right, so it was a nice change!
My only dislike with this wig is the permatease. I'm not necessarily a permatease hater, but you can probably see in some of my photos that it's a little bit frizzy. I like wearing this one a little sleeker, but the permatease sticks up all over the place. I can usually get it to calm down with some silicone spray and pressing it down with a warm hand, but it always seems to pop back up again. Overall I've been super happy with this wig!

The Two Main Types of Wig Anxiety: Part One

May 11, 2021

Wig anxiety is a real thing and it can manifest in a couple of different ways.

A very common manifestation of wig anxiety that is particularly common among new wig wearers is the concern that everyone knows you’re wearing a wig. This is not true. This anxiety usually fades over time as you begin to realize that most people have no clue you’re wearing a wig. (And if anyone does notice, they tend to be fellow wig wearers, which is actually kind of a cool way to meet friends and share styling tips.)
