If the swatch starts with just an "R" that means the style has regular synthetic fibers, but if it starts with "RL" it has heat-friendly fibers.

The "H" basically means that it is a highlighted color.

Where should the adjusters go when you put on a wig?

Where should the adjusters go when you put on a wig?

September 30, 2020

The adjusters should be ideally above this, somewhere comfortably in between the bottom of the back of your ears and the top of the nape on the wig. This will differ from woman to woman, though, since it all depends on your head size and how far you let those adjusters in or out.

The measurements are taken by the suppliers themselves and these are the specs they provide to us. Nape measurements are generally taken from the hair at the physical nape at the interior back of the wig down to the bottom of the hair.

What in the wig?

What in the wig?

September 09, 2020

Wigs are so convenient – there is no denying that. I personally cannot tell you how many times my wigs have saved me from ‘’bad hair days’’- you know days when your hair is just so frustrating and you are not really in the mood to do anything to it. I know hair rocks but there are days when I just want to stuff my hair underneath a scarf and call it a day! Those are the days I turn to my trusted wigs for help. They are versatile and they are capable of switching up our looks from casual to glam in just a few moments. It is funny though how popular wigs have become over the years in pop culture and amongst women. Yet, we still know little about how wigs came to be.

What is a lace front wig?

September 08, 2020

When you hear the word "lace," you probably think of a delicate fabric made from yarn or thread that has a web-like appearance or intricate pattern. You might also think of a fine dress, stockings or even curtains. But you’ve probably never thought about wigs. But if you’re looking for wigs with a more realistic look, that’s where lace comes in.

What is a wefted wig?

What is a wefted wig?

August 26, 2020

A weft is hair fibers (synthetic hair fiber or human hair fiber) that have been stitched/sewn onto a material to create a row of hair strands. Wefts usually make up basic wig caps. Wigs made like this tend to be at the cheaper end of the wig scale, but they’re big on volume and can be comfortable to wear. The wefts can help provide a nicely styled look, and help hide the construction of the wig from view.

What do you mean by

What do you mean by "Medical Grade"?

August 12, 2020

Medical wigs are made to be used as prosthetics (hair replacements) as opposed to fashion or cosplay wigs, which are worn to look cute but are not meant to be worn by folks with medical hair loss. Medical wigs tend to have comfort features and high end finishes. These include felt, silicone, or polyurethane in the caps to aid with grip and comfort when worn against a bare scalp. If they have lace, the lace is precut. (This is not the case in fashion and cosplay wigs, where they emphasize customization of the hair line over ease of wear.) That's the general rule of thumb, at least. Some brands blur those lines, like Rene of Paris, Ellen Wille's Changes and Perucci lines, and the newer crop of Estetica wigs. These all tend to skimp on higher end cap features in favor of fast production and trendier styles, similar to fashion brands.

Why do certain styles look longer/shorter on different people?

Why do certain styles look longer/shorter on different people?

May 27, 2020

That is a fantastic question! Now, I also have a question for you, have you measured your face? (from your hairline to your chin) This measurement will help greatly with figuring what the length of a style will be on you, especially when it comes those shorter, pixie cuts! I also have a very petite cap size and about a 7" long face. So, I know when I see a certain style has a fringe measurement of 3.75" (about 4"), I know it's most likely going to fall around my cheekbone, maybe a bit higher, like with Ivy by Noriko. I use this same trick for the side measurement as well. I find it really helps me determine if I'll like the length of a certain style.
