What happened to the "Dud List"

What happened to the

Remember the Dud List? If you don't, then let me bring you up to speed: I used to maintain a "Dud List" of wigs that I thought were either grossly overpriced for what they were, had shoddy craftsmanship, or caused a LOT of returns due to quality concerns. My suppliers were not always super happy with this list, as you can probably imagine. In lieu of maintaining that list, we have instead opted to take a softer approach. We will not carry a wig that we think might have quality problems. This has prompted us to remove entire product lines from the site as well as individual styles and colors. If you see we could carry a wig because the rest of the brand is represented, BUT it isn't there, you can almost always assume that it's either been discontinued OR we just didn't feel comfortable selling it to people. This may be either because I don't know enough about the wig to feel comfortable selling it, it's not a good fit for our store, or because of quality issues that might otherwise put it on the "Dud List." I am OK missing out on any potential sales that I wouldn't be able to make in good conscience. Half the reason I started selling wigs was to help people with stuff like this! (Plus, I like being able to sleep at night.) TL; DR -- I don't want to sell crappy wigs...so we list things conservatively to ensure we don't. ;)

Part of this is an aesthetic thing: many medical clients dislike wigs with too much body or hair and thin them when they get them home.  Demand dictates fashion, and the manufacturers are very happy to oblige because doing so often saves them money in the process. (People are happier with the products + they save money = it's a win-win.)

Siobahn's Review: Go for It by Raquel Welch in Glazed Cinnamon

I've been wearing Go for It by Raquel Welch as my everyday hair for about four months. This is definitely my go-to style. I love the versatility of this pixie! The lace front is very nicely done, so sometimes I like to sweep the hair back off of my face which gives it a more casual look. It does also have a monofilament crown but I don't necessarily feel like it needs it.
