I desire the following features in alternative hair: Complimentary shape, and for me that is a helmet shape. Meaning that the unit must have height and long face-framing layers. Features, and for me that means having either a mono top or mono side-part, along with a lace front. And if a wig comes in a color that I truly like, it's a huge bonus.
Scarlet comes with a pre-steamed, flattened-C shape at the front of the face. When watching a review of the wig, I thought this might be a plus, since I don't like having hair flop in my face. But in the case of Scarlet, it's overdone. I am unable to make the hair lay, or in my case, stand, the way I'd like.
The bang (fringe) is cut a little too short around the face for me.
And the wig is too long in the back. That's a special problem, since I haven't found anyone who knows how to cut wigs yet.
The hair fiber feels silky and nice, and the color 29H is the prettiest shade of red I've ever seen. But this cut and style is not suited to me. My perfect wig would be Raquel Welch's On Point if it had a side-part or full monotop, plus a little more volume on top, especially in the crown area.
