Don't. Do. It.
First I'd just like to say that ordering from CysterWigs has been terrific, and I will be ordering from them exclusively from this point on, so this rating is not at ALL a rating of Heather's lovely company. That said, this review is not gonna be pleasant for this style. And it is going to be a looong rant...for that I apologize, lol.
So, I read the reviews that mentioned tangling, and I admittedly made some unfair assumptions. I thought for sure the reviewers weren't using wide tooth combs/finger combing, or that the wigs were being abused. Listen, I have worn wigs for a long time...I used to work in the wig industry as a consultant. I've worn all types of styles from all the brands, ladies and gents, but I have neEeEeEever had a wig that tangles as bad as Runway Waves (and I used to wear costume wigs as a poor undergrad, for crying out loud).
To give you an idea of just how bad it is, I have been wearing this wig for only SIX DAYS, and I can no longer run my fingers through the hair. Something about the curl pattern of this wig just invites snags and snarls, and when it came, the wig had a very strange texture. Almost greasy, and whatever it was left a film on my fingers when I would finger comb through it...I've never felt that on any brand of wig before, so not sure what is up with that. Runway Waves - as is - will probably last me under a month. That is easily the shortest lifespan I've ever experienced with a wig. I guess I am now forced to steam it in an attempt to…
