Cute for some but not my style

I ordered Rosie in 4/27/30 and it was lighter than I was expecting it to be. Nevertheless, a nice color. My hair is almost black so maybe it would just take getting used to. This wig has a lot of hair and I felt it gave me a bit of "Helmet Head"as stated by a previous reviewer. There is a lot of hair in the crown area. Through a lot of finger styling and a bang trim, I was able to get the desired style I wanted but it did not stay. Perhaps over time and after a wash I would be able to train the hair to go in the direction I wanted. The hair naturally wanted to go back to the original style. That, however is probably a big plus for those who want to throw it on and not have to worry about having to restyle it throughout the day. I found the Peace Out Contouring Creme to be very helpful in getting the messy look. I think that many people who like a bob style would love it, however I am finding that it is not the best look for me. The lace front was nicely done and you could confidently wear this style and not worry about the hairline. Overall, you get a lot of hair for your money and a classic style that so many women love. I really liked how it looked with a little pulled off the sides and secured with a clip in the back.

Rosie - color 14/26S10 and soon FS26/31

Rosie is gorgeous. Stylish.

Because of my age (60), I was hesitant to purchase her. Some wigs which come straight down the sides seem to accentuate some jowls that I did not even realize I had (in other wigs and hairstyles). However, that is not the case with Rosie. (BTW, neither is it the case with Jon Renau's Elizabeth. I've had Elizabeth in FS26/31S6 for quite a while and get lots of compliments from strangers of all ages with her. Once had a group of young adults at a wedding that just thought I had the most gorgeous hair.)

I got Rosie is 14/26S10, shaded pralines and cream, which is also not my "normal" color, as I often go more into the light browns and medium auburns. My normal color was on backorder, and I was too excited to wait. Anyone can see that 14/26S10 is a beautiful color, but was not sure it was for me. It is! It is very stylish. (BTW, I have brown eyes and fair skin.) The root color on shaded pralines ‘n cream is a great choice, too. Naturally dark without looking like one ran out of money for a color job.

The first time I wore Rosie, as I was in the lobby of a hotel heading to a wedding, a couple who entered as we were leaving looked at us and said: Wow, you look great. It's a nice feeling to still be able to turn heads at our age.

I have since ordered Rosie in my normal color of FS26/31. Actually, to be more specific, my go-to color is the rooted version, salted caramel FS26/31S6. This salted caramel just looks so natural whether summer or winter.…

Cute wig, but....

I like the style and agree with other reviewer that it needs some cutting to come close to the picture. I am not sure how much wear I am going to get from this wig because after the first wash, the hair at the base of the neck tangles up horribly. I'm not talking about after wearing all day, I'm talking about after just a few minutes. I am constantly trying to detangle with my fingers. At a loss on how to keep this from happening. Since others are not mentioning it, possibly it is the Jon Reneau care products I am using. Don't really have this problem with my Julianne's.

Hi Marcia! I wanted to weigh in here because you bring up some very valid concerns regarding nape length. They styled Rosie with that little flip in the back to help minimize the amount of hair that rubs up against the back of the collar, but it's still kind of an issue. Now, that being said, I know a lot of people really love this wig. I also prefer Julianne because the texture and the shorter nape length help that wig hold up a little better to static damage (which is essentially why this is tangling like this). Cameron is straight like Rosie, but unlike Rosie, is shorter at the nape, so that one is also a great wig if you are concerned about static/tangling issues. My advice: soak your Rosie in a sink with lukewarm water and some liquid fabric softener. This will help cut down on the static...and it's a really inexpensive fix, which is something I think we can all get behind. ;) Also, look into getting some of the Simply Stylin' serum we carry on the site. This stuff is no joke. Put a little on the underside of the nape hair of your Rosie as it's drying. Once dry, put a little more on your fingertips and work through the bottom of the wig with your fingers. You probably won't need to put it all over. Remember that a little goes a long way. I swear by the stuff. A customer actually recommended it to me a couple years back, which is how I discovered it! If you try these, please be sure to let me know whether or not it helps!

Rosie Jon Renau

This is a lovely well made wig. It is slightly smaller than JR Heidi and an average JR Zara. As I have a large head I find it tight, but this can easily be dealt with by stretching it on a wig block while the cap is damp or by adding more elastic. If you have an average size head this wig will be very comfortable.

My New Favorite!

This is a super cute wig and I get a lot of compliments from strangers on the street, which is very encouraging! Yes, it does flip out, but I think that's what is interesting about it. I have had this wig about six weeks and it has lost a little bit of the original softness and flippiness, which is normal.

I had been wearing Noriko Jackson in Toasted Brown and really liked that style. It looked so much like my bio hair both in style and color before I lost most of it. But after about a year, I grew tired of my hair always down and I wanted an option with a part and a lace front so I could pull it up or tuck it behind my ears. I looked at many, many wigs that would come close to the Jackson. Finally, I fell upon this Jon Renau Rosie. I struggled with which color to order, and finally after much thought, video reviews, and photos, I selected the Raspberry Twist. I am SO happy! Don't let the word raspberry turn you away. It is a very brunette wig. No one can tell it is a different color from the toasted brown in Noriko. A friend noticed the style was more flippy than the Jackson, but otherwise close friends did not even notice the change.

I am not sure what other reviews mean by helmet head! I think it is a perfect amount of hair, and much less than the Jackson! In fairness, I was always one to volumize my bio hair, though.

I like the length of this wig, too. The ends don't get super tangled up like they have with longer wigs. Maybe that's because of the…

Hey Jane! I'm so glad you love your Rosie! She's really a beautiful and classic style and you rock her! She's a great step-up from Jackson and that color really suits you! Thanks for the great review and have a lovely day! - Ellis
