For some time now, I've been unhappy with my increasingly thinning hair. I know it's not my fault. Several of the medications I have to take list hair loss as a side effect. But I'd reached the point were I couldn't part it, swirl it or curl it into disguising my problem. I don't consider myself a vain person, but my hair loss was making me feel bad about myself. (Who is that sad, sorry, old person in my mirror?) Our small town has no wig shop, so I started scouring the internet and was fortunate enough to discover Heather's YouTube videos.
She helped me feel at ease with my decision to find some hair to wear. She made it seem normal and, to my surprise, fun! I was worried about ordering an average cap because my head measures 23 inches, but when Heather admitted hers was 23 1/2, I didn't feel like a mutant anymore. Her reviews about which brands were more forgiving on size was immensely helpful.
I settled on Timeless Beauty by Gabor. I know Heather recommends a short wig for first timers, but I've worn long hair for most of my life and don't feel feminine in short hair. My new wig's color matches my own bio hair so exactly, it looks like I just got a really good haircut. The wig fit is great. The lace front is beautiful and natural-looking. Best of all, I feel like myself again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will be back for another wig from Cysterwigs in the future.
