Lovely wig, but a little small for a Jon Renau

I love this wig -- the cut is adorable and the shaded peach is gorgeous. My only reservations about it have to do with my 23.5" head. The cap is just a little bit smaller than my other Jon Renau wigs. Although I can make it work from front to back by wearing a velvet gripper, it doesn't stretch from side to side quite as well, and it's a little spare on the sides to start with. I am hoping it will relax a little over time, because it is really cute!

Evan is JR Natalie's Sophisticated Big Sister

Jon Renau's Natalie was the first wig I ever purchased a couple years ago and I have really enjoyed her. After watching wig reviews of Evan I decided to give her a try. My bio hair is asymmetrical so both styles suited me. Evan is a great step up with her fullness and lace front. Her bangs are more dense so I had my stylist trim them for me so I could work with them better. I love her nape as it is shorter than the Natalie, looks very realistic and lays beautifully on my neck. Evan can be worn a little messy and casual or styled for a more polished look. I love that the lace front gives me more styling options, should I want to wear the bangs up off my forehead. I purchased her in the color Shaded Praline, which is a beautiful rooted blonde shade and works great with my bio hair. I use JR Piece-Out Creme for styling. I think you can't go wrong with Evan. She's timeless.

Evan by Jon Renau - 12FS8: Shaded Praline

This style hits on all cylinders for a short wig: smooth and extremely natural coverage on the back of the neck, sides look good tucked behind the ears or some strands brought forward, bangs long enough to brush to the side without a fight. The layering on top responds well to fluffing-up, and the hair density and texture look so natural, too. Why I waited so long to get something in Shaded Praline, I just don't know--the highlights and lowlights are very pretty.

Comparisons can be useful in reviews (if you're flailing among all of the choices), so here are mine: Natalie by Jon Renau, Sky by Ellen Wille and Angled Cut by HairDo. I like them all differently. Evan's bangs are more dense/lend more coverage than Natalie's, which are a nice light wispier style. Evan's smooth rear elevation is a major difference from Sky's razor-choppy back style, which is cute and looks even better with the help of some styling product. Sky offers more asymmetrical fluff than Evan; it's exactly as the manufacturer photos show. Evan's fiber texture is very different from Angled Cut, which is heat-friendly and may feel clumpy if it's not brushed. Also, Angled Cut can act itchy, but that's helped with a liner. I also find myself smoothing down the bottom of the back of my hair now and then with Angled Cut, whereas Evan just snugs up flat. As can be seen in the mfg. photos, Evan's asymmetry is far less pronounced than these other three. Evan's such a good little pixie.

Evan and Natalie are my "pop…
