Alia by Jon Renau

Very cute short bob in Shaded Praline. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks now and it fits nice and comfy on my head. I have received many complements on this wig and it fits my round face well:)

Not love at 1st sight until I washed it...

Alia and I wanted to get along when I recieved her but to be honest, it was not love at first sight. I have baby fine bio hair, a smaller head and a more petite face so I was a bit overwhelmed by all of Alia's density and way too Perfect style. While cute and pretty, I felt like the fibers and style looked fake and way too perfect to relax in! Almost like helmet hair that refused to look natural. The cap is also larger than my other Jon reneaus including Gisele (similar cap) and my hand tied styles, Victoria & Julianne so It like it was swimming on me. I must admit that despite this, I grabbed her often for house days, outdoor events and general bum around helper hair and always felt super comfy and kept wearing her but I was convinced that I wouldn't replace her. Then I washed Alia! What a difference! The hair density, while still full, was now luxurious and not too much and amazing as was the style which really stood out now. What felt like helmet hair now feels chic and super flirty. The razored (I believe) flippy tips look completely natural now and also frames the face softly with very natural layering as I finger comb the front layers out of my face. This style now has become a favorite shorter length for me and I can wear it all day with minor restyling from time to time to keep the back layers styled correctly. The cap, instead of feeling too big, once adjusted to slightly overlapped, feels comfy and fine. I highly recommend this style if you like the pics as they…

This is fantastic advice, D! Washing a synthetic wig (with the right kind of products) can go a long way towards curbing the shine of the fiber and helping it lay better than it does out of the box. Thank you for the thoughtful and thorough feedback!

Beautiful!

Alia is just an all-around great wig. The shape is beautiful (I love, love, LOVE the flipped-out ends - cute style, but also great for hiding the wear as it rubs against my shoulders), and the colour (14/26 Pralines & Cream) is rich.

I should probably be wearing an average/large cap, so the fit is a little snug, but 10/10 I'll buy again.

Alia is okay

I kind of like this wig, but it could be better. The cap fits very nicely. I ordered the color Walnut Syrup which is golden brown with ash blonde highlights. I think the color is not great, at least not on me and lends to the wiggy look. I also am not a fan of the flip in the back. When you first come it, the wig looks great. But then as the hair settles down back into the flip, I think that makes it look fake. Plus the kind of bland color I have doesn't help. I think it might be really cute in more of a rooted blonde. But it's not a bad wig. I like that the long bang stays out of my eyes without to much work.

I'm sorry you found this to be kind of "meh." Please let us know if you need any help selecting something a little edgier or a color that might have a bit more pizazz for you!

Alia by Jon Reneau in Walnut Syrup

I immediately liked the comfort of the cap and the feel of the hair. I watched many, many reviews before I purchased this wig and was convinced this was a gorgeous wig. And it is very nice -but..... the color was not quite for me. Walnut syrup does not have roots, which I would have loved and apparently I could of had if I had paid closer attention and ordered the Almondine. One other draw back was the flip in the back. It looks great when I first put the wig on and lightly comb the back, but after wearing it a while the wispy flips settle down into one very retro looking dipty-do, flipped style. Not my thing. So, it's almost love, but not quite.
