THE GIST:

Kristen is a less expensive alternative to Kristi by Jon Renau. It's the same cut, the only difference is in the cap construction. This is a GREAT wig. Jon Renau wigs are beautifully done and very well made. The colors are very beautiful and the hair fibers are very light. This is a wonderful, professional wig with a 100% hand tied lace front for added realism.

Kristen by Jon Renau in Oyster

This is my second Kristen. My first was in Roasted Chestnut. I decided I liked the style so purchased my second Kristen in a lighter grey called Oyster. The color reminded me of my medium Grey Envy wigs. I had changed the part on my first Kristen and regreted it so I did not mess with the part on this Kristen and she looks gorgeous every time I put her on. Very nice wig at a good price point!

The Perfect Choice

I loved Kristen as soon as we met! The fibers are soft and very fine. The density is believable yet light weight. I chose a lighter blonde and it falls just like fine blonde bio hair. The collar length will be perfect for summer.

The only draw back in my case is that the ear tabs dont come far enough forward. The space infront of the sideburns is too great leaving too much bio hair out in my own opinion for me personally. Luckily my bio hair is the same colour as the wig and blends nicely. The style looks pretty tucked behind the ears.

I will wear Kristen anytime, anywear- perfect comfortable choice from grocery shopping to dinner out with friends!

Kristen by Renau

This is the one that made me comfortable! I wore it to work and felt confident that it was gonna stay in place. As a new wig wearer that was the hurdle. I love the color Shaded Peach and find this cap very comfortable. After watching all the online reviews, including Taz’s Value series this was my 3rd purchase. It is most like my long lost bio hair and color I got from a box. The comfort level went up and gave me the boost to go public for work. I’m still finding my way through the journey of grief and loss but this is a start in the right direction. The wig reviews prepared me well for this process. Thank you for the many resources to educate and prepare newbies for the ups and downs. I really appreciate the coupons and sales so much.

Holy Permatease!

I really want to love this wig. The fibers are silky smooth and the cut and color are beautiful. The cap is comfortable and the lace front isn't nearly as itchy as other brands. Unfortunately, the permatease makes this wig pretty much unwearable. I'm usually a fan of permatease, but it's really visible on the Kristen. It looks like my hair is matted and dirty. I just ordered the Kristi, though, because I do like the style.

Lovely

I purchased Kristen in 56F51, Oyster. Early on in my wig wearing experience I ordered Kristi and felt that all the hair overwhelmed my face. Now that I have some experience tucked under my belt I decided to try the less expensive version to see if I liked the length this time around. I loved Kristen from the moment I put her on.

The color Oyster is very lovely. It’s much lighter than my greying bio hair but I love the color. It’s very realistic and a very soft, subtle grey. This is definitely a color I will order again and again.

I love the beautiful style of Kristen. The slightly below chin length is flattering and doesn’t drag my face down like I feared it would.

Kristen has a lace front that makes it so easy to wear pulled back or with the left hand part. There are some dark knots in the front but not enough to ruin the look.

The cap is open and it has a lot of permatease. Though there is a lot of permatease it’s very well done and there are plenty of fibers to cover any nestiness. In my opinion the amount is perfect and allows for volume at the sides which I need.

My plan was to purchase the Kristi if I liked the Kristen however I love the way I can get volume from her. When it’s time to replace Kristen I think I will purchase another rather than the hand tied version.
