I made no alterations to the style.
I was seriously disappointed by a Forever Young purchase that struck me as a Halloween party wig, so my expectations for another budget line were minimal. However, Fame was lurking in my Favorites, so when CysterWigs offered a rare sale on the Mane Attraction brand, my order went in fast.
Style: Fame come out of the box far cuter—and less dated—than the manufacturer’s photos. I’m delighted to find a short, shaggy style that isn’t a pixie or a bob. The length is just right for an active lifestyle. Because I was new to Mane Attraction, I ordered a darker-than-usual color to insure against show-through wefting. No worries there! Fame has plenty of hair. Side coverage is good, and the ear tabs are well-covered.
The irregular soft curl pattern looks believable, with curls mainly in the back. The bangs are long for straight vertical styling, but they look fine if gently swept to the side—plenty of coverage for my high, flat forehead.
Color: Pecan is a light ash brown with golden highlighting that's natural, not dramatic. This medium shade and the generous amount of hair serve to somewhat camouflage the part. (Sadly, only one rooted color is available.)
Fit: My head circumference is 21.5 inches. Fame’s cap is even more comfortable than Jon Reneau’s O’Solite cap, which I’d previously held as the ultimate in comfort. There…
