When I put on Preston for the first time, I felt the same way I did when I first wore ROP Rae: like myself. There's something about these slightly messy, casual, happy bobs that makes me feel like I'm not wearing a wig, I'm wearing my hair. Preston is indeed like Rae, especially the right side of Rae with the little curls and flips. However, Preston carries that style throughout the entire wig, whereas I always found Rae (which I love and own in several colors) to be a little lopsided: the two sides didn't seem to quite match. Preston does match: her style is consistent on both sides. She's casual and fun; short enough to feel sporty but definitely longer than a pixie. She's got waves and has a nicely "undone" appearance. Definitely doesn't look like a wig! Compared to Rae, her cap features are much more refined (full mono), plus I prefer the Estetica lace fronts and hair fibers to ROP.
Altogether, she was completely worth the money. My only wish? That Estetica wigs came in more medium-to-light brown options, especially cool-toned browns. I got mine in R14/8H, which is fine though slightly warm. Something with a little more dramatic highlighting (like Henry Margu 626) or lighter, ashier highlights (like Noriko Chocolate Frost R) would be great, too. Hint, hint, Estetica, if you're listening. ;)
