I really took a chance on this topper, but after seeing some videos of other people who tried it and studying the specs I concluded it was going to work as well as my favorite bobs. Like Jon Renau's Kristi and Elizabeth, and Amore's Veronica, this is a classic straight bob.
I was able to get it in my biohair doppelganger color, 4/33 so that was a plus, right off the bat. Also, it is heat friendly, so I can style it along with my own hair, which is about the same length but not as smooth and thick.
Given that I have hair where it is needed to attach the clips and that my own hair is about the same length, this topper was a good match. I had a little trouble finding the right placement, and changing the part to match my preferred biohair part location, but after a few tries, was successful. It does tend to flop in my face, so I may have to use a headband until I can train it back.
The pictures are terrible (sorry), but they give an idea of the overall effect. What I really like is that it is so light, which is perfect for summer. Also, with the full monotop, it looks natural. I can just pull my own hair out around the edge, so I don't miss having a lace front.
The quality is superior, as is typical for Jon Renau hairpieces. I just hope I can keep it from frizzing by using only a wide comb and treating it with Renau's silicone spritz.
Oh, and, I can put it into a ponytail really convincingly. That sealed the deal. I will probably get another one and may even try the human…
