As you know, if you see my reviews here, I have been collecting wigs for over six years. I started out with a simple bob from Revlon and quickly graduated to lots of the brands Heather features here. My favorite one is Jon Renau and I have dozens of their pieces. Every one of them is a treasure, but some stand out. Elle is one of them, as far as I am concerned.
Why? First of all, she has a full hand-tied monofilament top and delicate, flawless lace front. Second, she is a perfect length for me -- just at the shoulders. I don't wear my hair long or short anymore. Both are aging for someone over 50, as I am. I have a few longer and shorter Renau's but my favorites are the ones between 12 and 15 inches in length, like Elle.
I have two Elle's. My first was a 1BRH30 and this recent purchase is in 4/33. Both are beautiful, natural looking, so close to my own biohair (which I still have, but which doesn't look like this!) that no one guesses they are wigs. That's another thing I appreciate about Elle: she feels light and has a natural profile that doesn't scream hairpiece. I am not a fan of permatease because it makes my head look unnaturally large, for some reason (other people can wear it beautifully -- not me). When I have it, I have to manipulate it to lie flat.
