Jon Renau wig steamer

The JR steamer is much easier to use and get results than the hand held clothes steamer found at retail stores. The smaller, directed steam makes a big difference. Heather's video instruction was the reason I decided to splurge on a wig steamer. It's much better than 'training' a wig over time. Pushing hair that keeps falling in my eyes all the time, needing hair accessories to manage unruly bangs is a thing of the past, even reduced the need for wig styling products. I like hair accessories, but sometimes don't want to use them. I've only used the JR steamer 10+ times so I cannot speak to longevity. But it's made a huge difference in wig wearing pleasure thus far. If this one stops working, I will be looking for another more durable wig steam styler.

Help, please!

Maybe I'm just dumb, but there are no instructions about how to get this steamer to work. None. How do you put water into the thing? Is it supposed to unscrew somewhere? And how do you get the spout to stay on? I sent a query to cysterwigs.com, but haven't gotten a response yet. Frustrating that there's no obvious place on the site where a person can get such basic info.

I love this little steamer

After having used a clothing steamer on my wigs for years now, I can say that this steamer is really handy and I like it much better. Being able to direct the steam exactly where I want works great!

Wig steamer

After watching Heather’s video on using the steamer I promptly bought one. I’ve seen that people use clothing steamers but I think it is worth the extra money for this one. I like that it gives you total control of what you are doing. I used it to restore a wig that had lost her luster and I’ve used it for styling. I wear a glove from a curling wand to protect my hand. I was happily surprised with how easy it is to use and the great results I’m able to achieve.

Jon Renau Wig Steamer rocks

When I first started buying wigs, I was afraid to comb it much, let alone take a scissors to it or buy a $75 steamer. Now I style bangs and parts on all my synthetic wigs with this great Jon Renau styling tool. Thank you Heather for educating me on the subject in your recent Video. I see that it works. I am even brave enough to cut little bangs into my synthetic wigs (and then style them with wig steamer). So I am very happy with the purchase.
