Jon Renau is my favorite wig manufacturer (apart from Heather/CysterWigs). All the wigs I have gotten save one (Julianne) have been beautiful and practical, so I don't hesitate to get more.
I have had Kristens before. About eight years ago I got her in a dark color and then gave her away because she didn't have a mono top and that makes the darkest versions of Kristen look less realistic, as they don't have a root. If I am going to forego a mono top or part, I have to have lace and rooting.
Then a couple of years ago I got Kristen in Palm Springs and Venice blondes. These work well for me as cool blondes and because they are rooted, they don't look wiggy to me.
This time I decided I wanted to try something from the Arctic Collection before it is gone forever. The only one that would work is Sleet. It has a very cool platinum blonde effect despite being mostly gray. When it first arrived I wasn't sure I would like it, but once I tried it on and styled it with the part on the right, I realized I really like it. Now I have three blonde Kristens and am very happy with all three. I put a couple of pictures here to show the color in different lighting. Both pictures are directly under different skylights, with no artificial lighting on.
I was so happy that I went ahead and ordered another one in Chocolate Cherry. I will review that separately, but I am delighted to say it looks rooted, amazingly enough.
By the way, Kristen in Sleet is very silky in real life, but not shiny.…
