I've been wearing Ellen Wille's United in Sandy Blonde Rooted and liked it pretty well except my natural bio hair is not as dark as the roots on that one. So that bothered me a little.
I had been looking at Gabor's Premium for a while but there were no rooted blondes. I finally took a chance and ordered the GL16/27 Buttered Biscuit. It was definitely lighter at the root and threw me off at first but then I read where ladies had used eyeshadow, etc. to darken the root. I gave it a go with a light medium brown and really didn't even go heavy with it, but just *that* much helped tremendously!
Premium is a lighter density than United and I like that. It is also a tad longer so it is easier for me to pull the sides back into a clipped pony tail. Also has just a little fringe bang that I can easily sweep back.
Oh, and I have a petite head so it was a little big at first but I crisscrossed the Velcro stays and use my Wig Grip and it fits well.
Now what I have to wait and see is how it holds up. I don't wear a wig every day, in fact maybe only once or twice a week. I am always very careful to condition, use detangler, Simply Stylin', etc. but United is really beginning to feel somewhat straw-like on the ends.
I guess that's the nature of the longer length... Thank goodness for CysterWigs coupons and specials!! I would hate to go back to my shorter style because I have gotten so many compliments on the longer length! It makes me look younger and who doesn't want that?
