Awesome

Very fast delivery. I should have paid attention to Heather saying it fits small... my average-large head is a bit big for the cap... I'll need to root it a bit so my sideburns don't show. It was as advertised and I do love it. I will be buying my wigs from Cysterwigs forever now. I love what Heather does and stands for.

Pretty pricey but perfect

For this type of modified Shag/Bob ("Sh'bob", LOL) it is hard to imagine a synthetic wig that could be any better than this. The style is a classic in the ilk of Jackson by Noriko. It also reminds me in the way it fits and looks on me of my Jon Renau fave, Elle, Tressallure's Feathered Bob, and Henry Margu's Avery (?).

So what did Raquel Welch do to perfect this piece? First of all, it is a mono top/lace front/ almost completely hand-tied cap (there are fabric-covered wefts in the very back bottom). That means it can be parted anywhere on top and swept up off the face believably to simulate real hair.

The length is great. There is a minimum of permatease (which suits me fine) and the hair can be styled up and away from the face effortlessly. Because of the tapered fringe it doesn't fall into my eyes. No matter which way I parted it and moved it around, it stayed right where I put it. It frames the face well, curving under the chin, which is universally flattering. You can pull it back into a small, low ponytail or clip it up for a bit more glam.

The cap is a bit roomy on me, so if there is a drawback for me, specifically, that is it. It can be finger-combed, which is a good thing since this is a heat-friendly synthetic and we all know by now that with too much combing and heaven-forbid brushing (don't do it!), the fibers will kink and snag. That is why many people avoid these heat-defiant fibers, but, if you want these realistic looking colors, texture, and low-shine, you…
