If you are looking for a light-weight but full shoulder-length slightly flipped bob with all the best features, then Scarlet should be at the top of your list. I wish Jon Renau would make this style in my favorite color 1BRH30. But Henry Margu is the only brand that offers it, from my extensive search for its equivalent.
I am a dark-haired brunette, perhaps a 1B-2 or 3. I look terrible in warm, light colors. Medium browns make me look haggard. I have to stick to either very dark and cool tones, or very light ash blondes. It has taken me over 6 years to figure all of this out and I have been studying alternative hair intensely for all that time. I finally know what works for me.
First of all, there absolutely has to be a lace front and monofilament top to make the dark shades look realistic. In the light ashy blondes, I can skip the monofilament top. I part my hair on the right so most mono part wigs don't work for me.
Secondly, I don't want the hair to be too dense or heavy, especially not too poufy on the top, so that means discreet or minimal permatease in most cases. Third, much past the shoulders and you spend too much time de-tangling the hair, even human hair. I am not 30 any more, so I have to pick styles that look age-appropriate without being aging. I am sorry to say, I don't like grey hair on older women. That said, I don't understand why no manufacturer makes a dark shade or two with some full strands of grey, no more than 2-5%.
