My Fun Hair

I bought this from the close out site in color 7h. Not very close to my color, but I have always wanted hair that color. I like to pin up the side or put it in a mess ponytail with a clip. I am not used to having long hair so its differeint. The top looks nice, but I think I would like a double mono top better. Very comfy though and a nice style.

So Much Love For This Wig

I first bought Scarlet in 8/14, a medium brown. I was impressed with the realism, both in texture and hair density. 8/14 is also a very pretty color; not too warm or cool. If there is permatease, I can't find it. Scarlet is a flattering length and just so realistic. The hair on the lace front, however, was pushed off the face more than I like. I realize I can use steam to adjust the hairline to my liking, but I just haven't had time.

A month ago, I ran across Scarlet on CW's wigcloseouts.com site, in 26GR. I love this color. I've been wearing this one for the last two weeks and I've had a ton of compliments. Everyone at work knows I wear wigs (I have dozens and dozens, I'm embarrassed to say) and I often switch them up, even within the same week, depending on my mood. Now I'm hearing 'this is the one' from a lot of colleagues. I have an oval face, somewhat long in my opinion, and this wig is flattering because of the long swooping bang. Also I should note that the hairline on the 26GR is more relaxed than the first one I bought, not so off-the-face. I especially prefer my second Scarlet for this reason (plus the color is better on me; I'm naturally a blonde). So I'll have to try steaming the front of the 8/14 soon to try replicate the hairline of the 26GR.

A final thought: the nape of the wig tends to tangle a bit, so I use Simply Stylin' serum nightly, as well as clip up the back at times for a loose up 'do. I highly recommend this wig.

Scarlet...LOVE HER!

Scarlet was my first full mono top that I actually felt was realistic looking in all aspects! The top, the way the hair laid and flowed, the hairline...just everything about this wig is beautiful!

Only a couple times I felt like I had to pull it down in the back, could have been because I didn’t have the adjustable straps set properly (I am new to this, so who knows!) but the overall fit did not feel too snug, felt comfortable.

I wore her for the first time out on a date with my husband felt so beautiful! I didn’t feel as though people were staring or that I had this imaginary spotlight on my head/hair!

The only thing I would recommend is to definitely bring a little wig comb with you anywhere you go, because she does tangle easily at the neckline!

I bought the color 8/27/33H which has so many depths of colors mixed in, the color is absolutely gorgeous!!

Flawless and light as a feather on

If you are looking for a light-weight but full shoulder-length slightly flipped bob with all the best features, then Scarlet should be at the top of your list. I wish Jon Renau would make this style in my favorite color 1BRH30. But Henry Margu is the only brand that offers it, from my extensive search for its equivalent.

I am a dark-haired brunette, perhaps a 1B-2 or 3. I look terrible in warm, light colors. Medium browns make me look haggard. I have to stick to either very dark and cool tones, or very light ash blondes. It has taken me over 6 years to figure all of this out and I have been studying alternative hair intensely for all that time. I finally know what works for me.

First of all, there absolutely has to be a lace front and monofilament top to make the dark shades look realistic. In the light ashy blondes, I can skip the monofilament top. I part my hair on the right so most mono part wigs don't work for me.

Secondly, I don't want the hair to be too dense or heavy, especially not too poufy on the top, so that means discreet or minimal permatease in most cases. Third, much past the shoulders and you spend too much time de-tangling the hair, even human hair. I am not 30 any more, so I have to pick styles that look age-appropriate without being aging. I am sorry to say, I don't like grey hair on older women. That said, I don't understand why no manufacturer makes a dark shade or two with some full strands of grey, no more than 2-5%. That would make these wigs…
