Best topper for thinning hair when you're natural hair has a slight wave at the ends too.
So, I have fine wispy and very light loose barely there wave to my natural hair, used to be a natural blonde but turned light brown as i got older, as many of us do. I have some highlights that I've been growing out, and i need a little more coverage around the front sides and back. I find wigs too heavy, clip in hair can be seen through my fine hair, so toppers work best. My goal is not to suddenly have a ton of hair, but to just have more coverage that matches my natural hair and highlights as best I can. When I go out, I don't want everyone asking what happened or whoa you're hair got big etc, but rather just maybe notice my hair is looking a little better without the shock factor.
This is where the Jon Renau Top Wave 18" has really helped me. My hair is 16", very slight wave towards the end, and this topper is a close style match to that. It has a good amount of coverage but not too heavy, even so it was a little too much hair for me in density so i very carefully thinned it out, especially towards the ends so it appeared to gradually get thinner at ends naturally. This was super easy to do, i watched some youtube videos, and i worked slowly and carefully on it, snipping a tiny bit here and there at the ends, i didn't layer it, i thinned it out, two different things.
